The 5 free transcriptions are counted per install and only spent when a transcription succeeds — a failed one does not cost you anything. The count lives on the device, not in an account.
The purchase terms, in plain words
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Monthly and yearly renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple charges the renewal within the 24 hours before that.
- Lifetime is a single payment. It never renews and there is nothing to cancel.
- Manage or cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Capster cannot issue them directly.
- Prices shown are US dollars. Apple sets the equivalent in your storefront's currency, and the App Store is the price that counts.

No. The free version includes 5 transcriptions and videos up to 2 minutes, with a watermark on exports. Exporting is never blocked, so you can see the app do a real export before you pay.
What is Lifetime?
A one-time purchase that unlocks Capster Pro forever on your Apple ID. No renewals. Restore it any time from the paywall.
Is the yearly plan worth it over monthly?
Twelve months at $4.99 costs $59.88. The yearly plan is $19.99, which works out at $1.67 a month and saves 67%. If you expect to use Capster for more than a year, Lifetime at $24.99 costs less than two years of the yearly plan.
Can I cancel?
Monthly and yearly renew automatically until you cancel in your Apple ID subscription settings: on your iPhone, Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions, then Capster. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends or the next one is charged. Deleting the app does not cancel anything. Lifetime never renews, so there is nothing to cancel.
Can I get a refund?
Apple processes the payment, so Apple handles refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com with the Apple Account you bought it on. Capster cannot issue a refund directly, and any statutory withdrawal right you have is unaffected.

Yes. Without Pro you get 5 transcriptions, clips up to 2 minutes, and 2 of the 9 caption styles. Exporting is never blocked — free exports carry a small Capster badge and a short outro instead.
