Changelog
What changed in Capster
Every release, newest first, with what it actually changed. Updates arrive through the App Store; Capster has no separate update mechanism and never asks you to download anything from the web.
- New Lifetime option: a one-time purchase that unlocks Capster Pro forever on your Apple ID, with no renewals.
- Lower prices: Pro is now $4.99 a month or $19.99 a year in the US. Prices vary by country.
- Automatic transcription with word-level timings, in 99 languages, with the spoken language detected for you.
- Nine caption presets: Studio Clean, Midnight, Glow, Comics, Pink Sun, Emoji Vibe, One Word, Yellow Desert and Plain.
- Caption editor: fix a word, split a line, retime a caption, or restyle the whole video at once.
- Style controls for font, size, colour, outline, background, letter case, alignment and position.
- In and out animations, and per-word highlight.
- Live preview that runs the same renderer as the export, so the file matches what you were looking at.
- Export with the captions burned in, saved to the photo library at full quality. Vertical, square and landscape all supported.
- Projects saved on device, so you can reopen, restyle and re-export at any time.
- No account and no sign-up.
Requires iPhone with iOS 16.0 or later. Older releases are not kept available — the App Store always installs the current version.
